Classes for Beginners

We know how it feels

You love dancing at parties and clubs but never took a dance class before.    Or it's been a lifetime since you danced and you're sure you forgot everything you once learned.   Whatever your story, you're nervous and you don't want to look silly or slow the class down.


We got you!   These are all great classes to start with, and, besides, this is the C Spot LA, where everyone is welcome, and there is NO JUDGMENT!


Catch the Groove, for Beginners  - Learn a simple hip hop routine, slowly, at first.   You've got it, and then the music amps up, and...you're still dancing!   But don't let the easy choreo fool you - it's a great cardio workout!!

Dance 101 - Learn different genres in simple, fun combinations to a great playlist while you sweat and make new friends in a small class.   Jeremiah can do it all, and will give you extra help and individualized attention because he is just that kind of guy.

Wednesday, 7pm


Move & Groove Dance Fitness - Bollywood to Zumba and all styles in between. This is an easy follow-along class, with an always changing playlist. You will be surprised, and delighted, at the fun routines David comes up with each week, from Afrobeats' moves to Irish jigs and everything in between.   

Saturday, 9:00 am


PlyoJam - PlyoJam™ is a high-cardio, follow along dance fitness class that combines plyometrics-inspired movement with easy to follow dance steps to maximize calorie burning.   You don't have to worry about learning. choreography here, but if you want a workout that kicks your butt, this class is for you.

World Beat Workout - A non-stop, toning and cardio, total body dance workout with an eclectic playlist (Pop, Afrobeats, Latin, Jazz, Punk, etc.) to make you dance, sweat and feel joy!  Using easy to follow dance moves, it is a fun, vigorous workout for well-conditioned people as well as accessible and safe for those who may be concerned about injuries or physical constraints.  Experience the intrinsic benefit and pure pleasure of moving to music, also known as dancing!

GROOV3  - a one hour, high energy, dance-your-butt off cardio hip-hop class. Simple hip hop/funk combinations are taught in a very effective half-time/full time manner enabling everyone to learn the choreo, sweat and dance!

Groove & Step - this is a line dance class to R&B music, the kind you do at cook-outs and wedding.   Ronnie, the instructor, breaks down the steps so well that it's fun, and repetitive and it seems pretty easy... when you are just facing the mirror.  Then you start turning to the different sides of the room, and it's confusing, and you're afraid you'll never get it and everybody starts laughing because we are all turning different ways but you keep trying, and then it all comes together, your feet are flying, your body is grooving and it's a great dance party!

Hey, Bump That Jam - Malinda breaks down the moves in easy to follow segments which you learn in the "prep" jam and then put them all together in the "jam" jam!    Old School R&B, soul and pop sprinkled with some current hits.

Hip Hop Party - learn hip-hop moves in a party atmosphere.   There's always a theme, the disco lights are on, you dance, you learn and it's over way too soon!  Karter's routines are so much fun, plus he teaches you how to put your own "spice" on it!   

Thursday, 7pm


Latin Jazz Fusion - this hot and sexy dance class combines Latin, Jazz, Funk and Swing moves set to a different song and style each week.  Great for the mind, body and soul...feel the FIRE!l  Don't worry if you forget the steps, Irene says, just smile and touch yourself. 

Saturday, 10am


The Mix-Up - a 75 minute class with a good warmup and choreography enhanced by many genres, hip-hop, jazz, funk.   L-Boogie has danced professionally all over the world, and developed her signature swag, which is great fun to watch, and will help you develop your own style.  

Sunday, 1:30 pm


Reggaetón-Up - Choreo plus conditioning to great Latin hits.   Aly's conditioning/toning targets different muscle groups each week and the choreo is fun,  easy to  learn, and always sassy!

Soul Tribe - This is a class based in the roots of Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop music. The movement is an expression of joy in its highest form. The choreography will inspire strength, confidence, and huge smiles. Choreo starts to slow tempo tracks that ramps up as the class proceeds. We dance our hearts out to the most beautiful Soul music. Gus promises a beautiful journey to leave you feeling proud of yourself and more powerful than ever.

Hey, Bump That Jam


"Hey, That's My Jam!" is what you call out when a song speaks to you.


Malinda teaches this beginner's class using R&B and other 80s music to groove using repetition, basic dance moves, and easy to learn choreography. This class offers learners and everyone who likes to dance a fun, feel-good to your soul dance experience! And if you hear a song you love during class, feel free to call out, "Hey! That's My Jam!" Sunday, 10:30 am

Dance 101

Jeremiah warms you up with first with follow-along  moves and then throws in a short piece of simple choreography.   It's not hard to learn because he keeps going over it with you till you get it and it's not too fast, either.    


It feels so good!   He's got a great playlist, too, pop, hip hop, oldies.    You build your stamina, tone your body, dance and, best of all, build your confidence.     Yes, you really can do this!!!
